CREATING NURTURING INTERIORS THROUGH
CONSCIOUS DESIGN
Relax. Reset. Grow.
“I want a job where I can bring Beauty in people’s everyday life, to make them smile so they can face the world outside”.
That's what I replied naturally when I was asked to describe my ideal profession. I spent some time looking for that job, and then I figured the best way was probably to create it
That's how Danielle & Arlette was born.
Create a Supportive Home for Yourself
Your home shapes you every day: it restores you, strengthens you before you step out into the world and helps you unwind when you return.
While I love discovering new places and meeting new people, I am very much a homebody, and, again today, I notice how much layout, colour, light and clutter influence my mood.
Also, throughout my career, and whenever I welcome guests into my own home, making things as comfortable and convenient as possible to people has always been paramount. I naturally look for ways to make life easier, more enjoyable and more beautiful for those around me.

Through Danielle & Arlette, I want to help you create an interior that nurtures your growth and helps you reconnect with who you aspire to be, whilst also caring for the world around you.

How Interiors shaped
my Confidence
My lack of self-confidence was my biggest challenge for as long as I can remember. I often placed myself in the role of someone who had everything to learn from others. Even when my husband and I built our house, I left all the decisions to him because he was an architect. I didn't feel entitled to voice my opinion.
After my divorce, moving into my own apartment forced me to take ownership of my space and, in many ways, of myself. As a single mother, it was essential for me to create a safe and nurturing environment where my children could continue to grow and thrive despite that difficult transition. Creating a warm, functional, welcoming home became a way of building stability and confidence.

It was then that I understood how profoundly our surroundings influence our well-being, and how transformative our living spaces can be.

Like William Morris, I believe that you should
"have nothing in your house you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful"
Sustainable & Ethical Interior Design for a Healthier Home
I believe the most beautiful interiors are not the most perfect. They are the ones that tell a story and feel authentic. In a world of fast trends, faked perfection, and soulless standardisation, I choose to celebrate:
Individuality
Authenticity
Quality
Humanity
Imperfection
I design interiors that honour the location and reflect the people who live in them — their memories, passions, quirks and aspirations;
I favour natural and responsibly-sourced materials, and vintage treasures that carry a history of their own; I prioritise artisans and independent makers because I believe that the human touch brings something irreplaceable to a space;
I endorse high craftsmanship for exquisite pieces that will last a lifetime.
The result is an interior that feels deeply personal, layered and soulful — a home that could belong to no one else but you.

I wanted these values to be reflected in my business, and I found perfect ambassadors...

Danielle & Arlette
THAT'S THEM: MY GRANDMOTHERS
In their time, life moved at a gentler pace. People took pleasure in the little things, and nurtured lasting friendships. They were, in fact, best friends—that's how my parents met.
I remember how elegant they were: Mamie Danielle telling me stories about the beautiful dresses she had made by her seamstress; Mamie Loulette's wearing this unforgettable perfume from its iconic bottle. I remember long holidays spent at their homes, filled with memories that stay with me.
They embody what I hope to bring to every project: a genuine and lasting collaboration, interiors that invite you to slow down, and spaces enriched by the charm and character of the past.

Their legacy is in my DNA, just as designing homes and holiday lets where people feel welcome and nurtured is the essence of what I do.
